Description

In quantum field theory the entanglement between pairs of spatial regions is often studied, and has been connected to the emergence of spacetime in theories with holographic duality.  I will discuss several novel forms of entanglement: (1) entanglement across scales, (2) multi-party entanglement, (3) entanglement between discretely gauged "internal" degrees of freedom, e.g. within matrices, (4) entanglement in string field theory. Several of these quantities provide interesting information about the geometry and topology of the space on which the theory is defined.
