Description

In this presentation, I will talk about the half lives of neutron-rich nuclei measured systematically in the EURICA campaigns at the RIBF, RIKEN in Japan. The experimental results were compared with several global models to investigate the underlying nuclear structure far from the stability line. In addition, the new half lives were applied to the simulation of the rapid-neutron capture (r-) process, to understand the abundance pattern observed in the solar system.
