- Attending today's meeting: Kyle, Horst, Jae, Dick

 

- Rob is attending EOSC Pilot Stakeholders Meeting in Brussels.

 

- Jae: still waiting on funding news;  will contact funding agency after the New Year when the situation is hopefully clear.

 

- Next meeting to be on Dec. 19.

- ASP 2018 Conference

 

    - Horst attended Super Computing on Nov. 12 where he was able to join a meeting with African computing folks.

 

      This resulted in two prospective invited speakers, one from Botswana and another from Cape Town.  Horst also

 

      lined up two prospective contributed talks by Brain and John from CHPC.  (Horst, please send me the full names of    

 

      these people.) 

 

- ASP 2018 Curriculum:  tabled until the next DOSAR meeting on Dec. 19.

11:00 → 11:20 Future directions and initiatives

Future DOSAR initiatives & participation such as Software Carpentry and RDA Workshops

Speakers: Horst Severini (University of Oklahoma (US)), Robert Quick (Indiana University)

- Horst made a contribution to the SW Carpentry software and thinks he will be certified by Christmas (will participate in oral discussion on Nov. 18)

- Kyle is at the same point in the SW Carpentry certification process as Horst.
