A new scintillating fibre beam monitor for the CERN Experimental Areas and the Neutrino Platform
Inaki Ortega Ruiz (BE-BI)
The Beam Instrumentation group has developed a new beam profile monitor based on Scintillating Fibres for the secondary beams of the CERN Experimental Areas. The monitor has shown an excellent performance in recent beam tests performed in the East Area, which encourages its use in the new Very Low Energy beam lines of the Neutrino Platform at CERN, and proves that it can replace the ageing Multi-Wire Analogue Chambers and Delay Wire Chambers in the CERN Experimental Areas.
Start time: 4:00 p.m.
Coffee will be served before the seminar, at 3:30 p.m.
