Progress in Lattice QCD in the B and D Systems Andreas S. Kronfeld (Fermilab) This talk gives a survey of lattice-QCD calculations relevant for B and D mesons. The material chosen focuses on results new since FLAG 2016 and CKM 2016, and those not covered in the parallel sessions. The topics are determinations of CKM matrix elements from electroweak tree-level decays, tests of CKM unitarity from loop-level decays, and quark masses. In particular, we know have three completely separate methods for determining the charm- and bottom- quark masses, with different systematic, all in excellent agreement. Combined with very precise quark-mass ratios, this information can be leverage to determine all quark masses except top. The consistency of recent results (included c and b results from continuum analyses) indicates that the PDG estimates should be revised.
