Bertand: All posts on Forum addressed, roofit/roostat outstanding, tmva test still failing .. bad news Patricia had to restart Jenkins and the Windows node are lost in the configuration.
Bertrand: PR still a few pending and a couple of new ones.
Lorenzo: MCC PR introduced functionality duplication. I will look at the PR and decide whether it needs to be reverted. Was a set included in the PR? We should really have a test for any new class/PR.
Bertrand: I have ported the ‘all header’ python script for windows.
Philippe; Next up is Xavier.
Philippe: ROOT Course?
Danilo/Enric: Finished with materials and now working on exercise, which is our way to adapt the length of time.
Philippe: C++17
Guilherme: Merge my set of commits (including LLVM), with clang 5 it nows compile, with gcc 7.2 it does not compile. One test deadlock. Not done with operator new with alignment. icc build is not yet fixed, need to move to typeid+demangling instead of fragile parsing of __PRETTYFUNCTION__.
Philippe: operator new with alignment needs to be either fail clearly or implement the custom operator new semantic.
Guilherme: classic build seems to be working except for a few tests http://cdash.cern.ch/viewTest.php?onlyfailed&buildid=432727
Philippe: 6.12 branch
Axel: I have a PR to move the back port STL headers, it shows two things, span implementation is incomplete and we have already released all the headers. So I am hesitant to put this in v6.12. I will just doing in master.
Axel: Cling value printing of floating point number, we need to add back a trailing period.
Axel; So I am almost done.
Axel: LHCb is waiting for new LCG release and they said they will pick up v6.12 only if we release this week.
Axel: Are there anything we are waiting on.
Guilherme: I will like to have the change in detangling in (based on typeid).
Axel: I am very hesitant to put it in v6.12, I think it is a bit too sensitive to put it so late in the cycle.
Guilherme: I am concerned that it does not work on Windows without this change.
Bertrand: It does not work yet (beside this problem).
Guilherme: I might still make it in time.
Axel: Fair enough, if you complete the testing by tomorrow noon/geneva.
Guilherme: I will take a look ROOT-8528
Philippe: We should make ROOT-8566, ROOT-8269, ROOT-6077 a blocker for v6.12/02 (time-out for v6.12/00)
Lorenzo: Worked on slide for Fitting for Course. We should not teach people to use object on the stack with rather on the heap (problem with Draw/DrawClone — issue is that transient member are not copied by DrawClone, also C++ function pointer).
Guilherme: Finished VM for course. Merged some PR and some of my commits.
Bertrand: Windows is back in Jenkins :) Working on PyROOT on Windows, ACLiC also failing (backslashes).
Danilo: working on course.
Oksana: nothing important to report.
Enrico: going through little things/clean for the release. Helping people using TDF.
Enric: working on course.
Axel: Thank you so much to Danilo and Enric for the all the hardwork in writing and orchestrating the course :). May I attend some of the course.
Danilo: Of course, everybody is welcome.
Axel: thanks, it is helpful to the participant to see us attend/pay attention.
Raphael: CMS is compiling with module !! 400Mb of source location entries for boost, reduced dramatically by using a sparse vector.
Jakob: nothing important to report.
Olivier: working on course, user support.
