Description

Nonperturbative Quantum Chromodynamics in view of the upgraded Jefferson Lab, FAIR and the Electron-Ion Collider

This is the fourth edition of a workshop on the shores of São Paulo State with the aim to bring together theorists and experimentalists in Hadron and Nuclear Physics to present and debate recent developments in nonperturbative Quantum Chromodynamics. The main goal of this workshop is the communication of recent progress on nonperturbative approaches to the theory and of constraints on the theory from observation.

While the workshop originally focussed on theoretical aspects of quarks, gluons and hadrons, we have continuously increased the participation of experimentalists who expose the theorists to the details of observable extractions that may impact on comparison with calculations. They will also present experimental issues involved at international facilities, such as Jefferson Lab, BES III, FAIR-GSI, J-PARC and the future Electron Ion Collider.

The experimentalists, on the other hand, will we be updated on the latest development of theoretical tools and computational approaches to the theory. As in the past, we aim to stimulate and promote collaborative research plans to address open questions and outstanding issues in an intimate and relaxed environment.

With this fourth edition of "Many manifestations of nonperturbative QCD ", we want to contribute again to an improved communication between diverse experimental and theoretical communities to determine where future measurements can most effectively provide additional constraints on theory. In other words, by which means can we tackle the challenge of understanding how the quarks and gluons are assembled to form hadrons.
