We discuss the massive vacua of N=4 supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory deformed by N=1 supersymmetry preserving mass terms. We count these vacua on four-dimensional flat space as well as after circle compactification. We find beautiful relations to nilpotent orbits, number theory and extensions of the ring of modular forms.
