Description

The presence of Long-Lived particles (LLP) can be the most striking feature of many new physics models. At the same time, vast swaths of the possible parameter space of the LLP remain unexplored by LHC searches. In this talk, I will review the long-lived particles theory motivations and proposed searches. In particular, I will present our recent study on using precision timing to significantly improve LLP searches at the LHC.
