Description

Safety Awareness at CERN: new BE Safety Documents

Speaker: Dario Carloni

Safety culture means essentially two things: theoretical approach (standard and rules) and practical application (procedure, control measures). However, it is also essential that safety comes first in our daily work-life and to achieve that it is paramount to raise awareness for all the people involved in potentially hazardous events. Therefore, BE Safety Unit developed and promote a new set of safety documents to inform about the types of hazard for CERN beam facilities and detectors and list all the applicable control measures for specific hazards. The ultimate goal of this effort is to promote the awareness of the personnel and hence promote the enhancement of the safety culture at CERN.

Start time: 2:30 p.m.
