Nigerian Young Generation in Nuclear (NYGN) Welcomes You to Abuja, Nigeria for The First Sub-Saharan Africa Youth Nuclear Summit

Nigerian Young Generation in Nuclear Technology Advancement (NYGN)  will be hosting the first Sub-Saharan Africa Youth Nuclear Summit (SSAYNS)  tagged Frontiers in Nuclear in Abuja from 25th to 27th September, 2019, with support from various industry partners. 

Summit Front

The summit creates the avenue for young and senior nuclear professionals from the; academia,research and development, radiation services providers, healthcare, nuclear operators, nuclear regulators among others to share, exchange ideas and network on issues related to nuclear science and technology applications. The summit also welcomes those inquisitive or novice about nuclear and related matters. Politicians are highly welcome as there will be a special session for them.

CPD points for professionals and certificates will be issued after the summit.

This summit seeks to amongst others:

  • Build networks among professionals, high schools, universities and other institutions about nuclear science and technology opening up future opportunities for the young professionals, as time progresses towards career inculcation in medicine, radiology, radiography, space exploration mining, construction, research and development.

 

  • Catalyse the process for knowledge development for foundational sciences, engineering, medicine, radiology, radiography and other radiation related applications with communications across these facets.

 

  •  Elevate young professional and set the pedestal for continuous career development and create partnerships with international groups for nuclear and science related disciplines

 

  • Expand nuclear networks among the young people in Sub- Saharan Africa starting from High schools, Universities, Institutions, Hospitals, Agencies and Parastatals so as to enhance an active participation in International Nuclear activities and congresses.

 

  • Engage all groups of participants on ways of promoting peaceful uses of nuclear technology and also learn the national, regional and international capacities in nuclear science and tech activities,

 

  • Proffer a new view for the nuclear energy roadmap with potential inclusion into the energy mix and other related matters.

 

  • Develop spirit of cross cutting interaction amongs all fields of endeavour that touches and extends on the following sustainable development goals 3, 13, 7, 2 illustrated below:
