• Project proposal becomes the roadmap, document that summarizes the direction to be followed by the project team (for the study, design, build and commissioning phases)
• What, how much, what it costs,
  • Pain
  • Rationale: why this one and not another idea
  • Cost & Schedule
  • Stakeholders
• For justifying what is done and whether the project results are actually useful
• Car/ project metaphora, roadmap is how to get to the goal
• How technical it should be in CERN?
