L'informatique occupe depuis plus de trois décennies un rôle prépondérant dans la science moderne : de la simulation à l'acquisition et l'analyse des données en passant par l'automatisation industrielle, les technologies numériques sont omniprésentes au CERN et dans le reste des instituts scientifiques du monde entier.
Comment passer d'un simple intérêt pour l'informatique à une carrière scientifique ou une implication active dans la recherche ?
Grâce aux technologies ouvertes utilisées pendant les Journées Codez La Science (Linux, Python, Internet etc...) et sur lesquelles les scientifiques du monde entier basent leur travail, nous verrons comment l'informatique scientifique améliore notre quotidien et permet d'exploiter le progrès du numérique pour le bénéfice de la société en général.

For more than three decades, computer science has played a leading role in modern science: from simulation to data acquisition, analysis and industrial automation, digital technologies are ubiquitous at CERN and in the rest of the scientific institutes around the world.
How to move from a simple interest in computer science to a scientific career or active involvement in research?
Thanks to the open technologies used during the Coding Science days (Linux, Python, Internet etc ...) and on which the scientists of the world base their work, we will see how scientific computing improves our daily life and allows digital progress for the benefit of our society.
