Samuele Kaplun January, 2010 Major work for OpenAIRE; major changes in workplan ---------------------------------------------------------------- WP4/T4.1: basically completed the setup of the CDS Invenio software for the Orphan Repository, given the current requirements. Adapted the detail presentation of Orphan record in the OpenAIRE Orphan Record Repository to display the field decided in the data-model. WP4/T4.2: developed code for CDS Invenio to import vocabularies coming from D-NET. Completed the deposition interface of the Orphan Repository based on the current data-model for Articles. Currently uses static demonstrative vocabularies. WP5/T5.1: collaborated in the drafting of the OpenAIRE data model. WP5/T5.2: implemented the data-model in the OpenAIRE Orphan Record Repository. WP6/T6.1: Maintaining stable and up-to-date the OpenAIRE Orphan Record Repository. WP6/T6.2: testing and refining the metadata stored in the OpenAIRE Orphan Record Repository. Major work for IT-UDS-CDS; major changes in workplan ---------------------------------------------------------------- Integrated D-NET vocabularies parsing tools into CDS Invenio, needed for the ongoing integration of the Orphan Repository with D-NET in OpenAIRE.   • SWAT server: version 17.1 created and RPMs registered. Server updated.
  • SWAT server: making PyAmq forwarder, it is a consumer that will forward results of tests specified in conf file to another topic, so nagios could use it

Karolis Eigelis January, 2010 /// BalticGrid II - 60% Activities in SA3 - weekly meetings - application accounting/user accounting: developed the method(script) for gathering information from local DB at every CE in BalticGrid(admins will be requested by Hardi to send the info to SA3) now working on the final information extract after the all data will be collected. Activities in SA1 - weekly meetings - interoperability task finished: tested with BalticGrid certificate the Unicore OGSA-BES service (located in Poland) using ARC1-client, Job Management operations are working, now preparing the clean document on wiki balticgrid forum for Arc1-client installation/configuration/usage with other middlewares - gLite, Unicore. /// VGTU - CREAMCE updates&reconfiguration /// Other - discovered bug in GridWay, fixed by developers, deployed at pps-sam and configured for EGEE infrastructure, tested the information system, will test other functionality like Job Management. Seems it's very light-weight and highly configurable meta-scheduler which probably could be used instead of gLite WMS. /// IT-GD-OPS Activities in PPS/SAM - SAM support (1 week) - developed the script which generates light web interface for easy comparing the SAM-based and Nagios-based tests by regions: it helps a lot to easy compare the gridview graphs (http://pps-sam.cern.ch/gridview/regions/) for the RocNagiosValidation tasks. - MPI tests bug: very ugly bug was discovered by one of the MPI supporting sites, this bug possible to fix only by migrating MPI tests to Nagios infrastructure, as due to lack of information at DB(no info about subclusters or they queues) there's no way to test MPI supported flavors by sending only 1 MPI job. So currently if sites are not using defaults in they information system - they are not discovered as supporting MPI CEs. Work in progress with Nagios team to develope support for MPI tests in Nagios monitoring infrastructure.
