      Science in Parliament 55m

Most parliamentarians do not have a scientific or technological background but science and technology issues are increasingly integral to public policy. The Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology (POST) aims to bridge the gap between scientists and policymakers by providing balanced and accessible overviews of evidence-based research. I recently spent 3 months working at POST under the fellowship scheme available to PhD students. I’ll discuss how research gets into Parliament, my time at POST and how you can get involved.

Speaker: Alison Maria Tully (University of Cambridge (GB))
