This follow-up to the 2018 workshop will be a 1.5 day mountain retreat in Villars-sur-Ollon, open to all members of LHCb and potential future collaborators to brainstorm ideas for upgrades of the VELO beyond Run 4.  We will discuss ideas for readout, mechanics, cooling, sensors for the upgrade at very high luminosity.

Our time there will be shared between topical presentations, guided brainstorming sessions, and social activities.

A bus will be organised for participants travelling from and back to CERN. Departure from CERN is foreseen March 18th, at 11am sharp in front of Building 13.  We will stop on the way at the Rolle motorway services for quick lunch, to arrive in Villars at 2:30pm.

The bus back to CERN should leave Villars at 3pm on March 19th, arriving at ~5pm. There will be an additional stop at Geneva airport (at around 16:30)

Every participant should pay hotel costs at the hotel directly at check-out (245 CHF, which includes room, dinner, breakfast, lunch on the 2nd day, welcome drink and coffee breaks. Not included: beverages for lunch and dinner).

On Tuesday morning, we will have a social activity (Snowshoeing hike).
