Why do we need conference PIDs and what we will do with them? If there is only ONE use case to implement, which one will save most resources for your application/company?
Here are some ideas for the use cases, but please bring yours!!! a) Register conference series PID; b) Register conference PID; c) Find a conference (series) by name/acronym/PID; d) Application-specific use cases from the publishers, indexing services, other services (Indico, Zotero, CDS (CERN Document Server), INSPIRE, DBLP, Scopus, Web of Science, Google Scholar, …)

Clarifying the remaining doubts + looking into the complicated cases: a) ECML and PKDD merging in ECML PKDD, want to keep both as pre-decessors of the new conference, so we should retrospectively update ECML and PKDD IDs to become ecmlpkdd; b) umbrella conferences - can they have 2 IDs (e.g., can UAHCI be both UAHCI and part of HCI International?)
What do we do for the implementation of the conference PIDs? For instance, do we need an XSD, RDF, JSON-LD specification, etc.
Defining partners for the pilot implementation of the produced technical specification (Indico, Springer Nature, Elsevier, …). Who and when can start issuing the conference PIDs?
...in the new format
How do we communicate about our progress (Crossref and DataCite blogs, etc.)?
Crossmark for proceedings - see the pilot implementation at https://crossmark.crossref.org/dialog/?doi=10.1007/978-3-030-00949-6_1 under “more information”
