Abstract We’ll discuss how to characterise generic four-dimensional N=1 backgrounds in supergravity using generalised geometry. We find that there is a natural generalised cohomology, a sort of extension of Dolbeault cohomology, that can be used to count the moduli of the compactification. We show how this works in a some simple examples.
