Code of Conduct

All participants at the 24th European Few-Body Conference should enjoy an environment which encourages the free expression and exchange of scientific ideas, and is free from all forms of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. We value the participation of everyone and want all attendees to have an enjoyable and fulfilling experience. Accordingly, all attendees are expected to show respect and courtesy to other attendees throughout the Conference.

The Conference will be a harassment-free environment for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, nationality, religion. We will not tolerate harassment of attendees in any form. Harassment is any form of behaviour intended to exclude, intimidate, or cause discomfort. Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention. We therefore ask all attendees to comply with the following set of rules:

  • All communications (both verbal and written) should be appropriate for a professional audience that includes a diverse range of background. Sexual or sexist language and imagery should not be used at any time during the Conference.
  • Be kind to others, and treat each other with respect. Do not insult or put down other attendees.
  • Behave professionally. Remember that harassment and sexist, racist, or exclusionary jokes are not appropriate.
  • Individuals asked to stop any inappropriate behaviour are expected to comply immediately. Any attendees violating this code may be asked to leave the event at the sole discretion of the event organisers.

Enforcement of the Code of Conduct will be respectful and not include any harassing behaviors. If any of you experience or witness an uncomfortable situation, please do contact the organisers immediately.
