The first part is theoretical, and attempts to

• demonstrate what the new monitoring infrastructure can do
• how data can be added to it (code examples)
• best practices regarding what data you expose for monitoring, and in what forms

During the second part, people will be encouraged to bring up use cases of their own, after which we will take that use case through the monitoring pipeline all the way up to alerts for the trigger shifter.
