Abstract

These lectures provide an introduction to flavour physics, with special emphasis on the subject of Lepton Flavour Universality (LFU). We review in particular the present hints  of LFU in B decays, discussing their reliability from a theoretical point of view, their phenomenological interest, and how they fit in the general search for physics beyond the Standard Model. Future prospects in this field, in view of higher statistics and new experiments, and the connections  with high-pT physics, will also be discussed.
