Bringing a new detector technology into a big experiment like CMS, where it needs to operate for 20 years of LHC running, is not trivial. Do not miss the opportunity of visiting the CMS GEM lab, where these detectors are being rolled out.
Everybody is welcome. Registration is mandatory since there is only space for 24 people.
Meeting point at the building 904 in the CERN site of Prevessin. Transport won't be provided, so make sure you have a way to get there. Please be on time and let us know if you can't make it in the end. There is a waiting list and we would like people to benefit from this visit if you can't come.
Snacks and drinks will be provided afterwards.
