KT & CERN

A Nick: make sure Ron, Avner and other AII partners get a full cern account

A SFT: point Ron to the doc necessary to spin up a virtual machine with cc7 and how to configure it

A SFT: Make a proposal about how to version control our progress on scripts and code, perhaps on cern gitlab private.

 

Communication infrastructure

A SFT Add a mattermost room in the SWAN channel.

A SFT Set up indico category for a meeting every two weeks (and on demand) between Omar, SFT, Ron and AII.

A SFT Put up a twiki where notes and documentation are collected.

A SFT Put up a jira instance in CERN IT to keep track of issues (later, not immediately)
 

SWAN On Premises

A SFT: communicate to Ron how to get ROOT and start with it.

A SFT: instruct Ron on how to deploy a dummy SWAN on premises (or a single machine in amazon).

 

Automation of notebook transformation and deployment

A Ron: provide 3 minimal examples of poc microservice classes inheriting from the Flask Resource class.

A Ron, Omar: communicate to identify a minimal set of features to be supported in order to transform a notebook in a python module (documentation, input, output, arg parser....).

A Omar: provide a prototype script to convert a notebook to a python module which incorporates the aforementioned set of features.

A Ron: provide a server at CERN to which the python modules can be uploaded and where microservices are run.

A SFT: identify a meaningful demo involving popular open data analysis, perhaps from the ROOT examples and transform it in a microservice.

Objective: have something like this https://root.cern.ch/doc/master/df102__NanoAODDimuonAnalysis_8py.html but obtained through a microservice.

 

Machine leaerning and methods

A SFT: After AII looks carefully through slides and links, provide guidance to AII in order to kick start the usage of the ML methods discussed during the presentations. The goal is to efficiently start minimising the effort put in the learning phase.

A SFT: Put AII in contact with Openlab in order to get in touch with medical physics experts in that area.
