Description

This event has been postponed due to COVID-19. The organising committee have decided to reschedule the RAMI industry-academic workshop to early 2021. We are keen to preserve the in person attendance of this meeting so this delay allows us to assess a number of factors associated with COVID-19, including travel restrictions, quarantine requirements, and most importantly the safety of those attending. We will provide more details about the rescheduled event later in the year as the situation becomes clearer and hope you are all still able to join us in due course. Please contact us if you have any questions.

UKRI- STFC, CERN and the Wigner Institute are holding an industry-academic workshop on the following topics Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Inspectability (RAMI). This is in the frame of the Horizon 2020 Accelerator Research and Innovation for European Science and Society (ARIES) project, from work package 14: Promoting Innovation.

In the past years ARIES has organised topical discussions on Reliability of particle accelerators. At this workshop we are extending the discussions to the full RAMI elements including Availability, Maintainability and Inspectability of particle accelerators and also embracing fusion nuclear plants and Accelerator Driven Systems. The workshop will bring together participants from the international and national science facilities, academics and industry to share their specific examples of good practise, future and current challenges and recent developments. Speakers will offer insight into one or more of the areas within RAMI and a panel discussion will round off the day to allow for debate on the topics covered. More details of the talks at the event can be found on the timetable.

Participation is free and registration is required, you are kindly invited to register by Tuesday 10th March 2020.

In addition, tours of the Daresbury Laboratory will be made available on the 24th March, the afternoon before the workshop. Please see the section on the website for further information about the tours. Registration for the tours is via the registration form. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.

Transport will be provided from local hotels to the Daresbury Laboratory. This is the preferred method of transport as parking onsite it limited, please see the accommodation section for information about the coach pickup points.

More information on the ARIES programme can be found on the ARIES website.
