The first International Workshop on Arduino and Smartphones in Physics Education will take place on February 24 and 25, 2020 in Sapienza Università di Roma. It will bring together experts worldwide to present and discuss the state of the art of the usage of these technologies for physics education to the aim of starting an international initiative to analyse and recmmond good practices and promote the usage of Arduino and Smartphones for physics education, both at schools, colleges and universities.

During the two days workshop we will have presentations from the most renowned experts in the field. Plenty of time is foreseen to allow long discussions at the end of each talk.

The program of the workshop is the following.

Monday morning: Arduino session
F. Bouquet - DIY Physics Labs
P. Krow - How program Arduino board with AVR mc in Eclipse - electronic prototypes in dydactics
S. Moezzi - Use of Arduino in the Physics classroom

Monday afternoon: Arduino session
I. Marzoli - Arduino: from Physics to Robotics
G. Organtini - The Sapienza Roma Schools of Physics with Arduino and Smartphones

Tuesday morning: smartphone session
S. Staacks - Doing physics with PhyPhoX
M. Monteiro - Physics with smartphones
U. Delabre - Smartphone physics out of the lab

Tuesday afternoon: summary session

G. Organtini, F. Bouquet and S. Staacks - Summary of the workshop and possible actions
