Description

In the past couple of years quantum technology has seen a rapid increase in interest from academia, technology providers and potential applications. This is quite visible in quantum computing, but also in communication or sensing technologies. Several organizations and funding agencies have started investigations in the possible applications, including in HEP use cases. In 2019 CERN has started a few pilot projects in collaboration with other HEP institutes and is now considering future research strategies. The next session of the Scientific Computing Forum will be dedicated to assessing the current activities around this topic across the community. Participants are welcome to contribute short talks about existing activities and possible collaboration interests.
