Description

After the Run II of the LHC, with an astonishing mole of collected data, the campaign for the study of the properties of the 125 GeV Higgs boson is in full swing, with a particular focus on the measurement of the couplings with other Standard Model Particles. As an example, both ATLAS and CMS have claimed observation for the Higgs coupling to third-generation fermion (top and bottom quark, and the tau lepton), so that we know that Yukawa-type interactions exist in nature. The capability of providing accurate predictions, including higher-order corrections both of strong and electroweak origin, is of utmost importance in order to have reliable extractions of these parameters. I will present some results of my research activity relevant for a precise extraction of the top and bottom Yukawa couplings, and discuss what future actions have to be undertaken in order to fully take profit of the LHC data.
