Film screening | Projection "The Decision"
On the 30th anniversary of Edoardo Amaldi’s death, you are invited to the public screening of The Decision - Edoardo Amaldi and Science without Borders on Wednesday 11 December, at 4.30 p.m. in CERN's Main Auditorium. This historical documentary is the English version of the Italian film La Scelta, by E. Agapito and Adele La Rana.
The film tells the story of the life and works of one of the most relevant scientific figures of the 20th century, from his commitment to the creation of CERN and ESA and the reconstruction of European physics to his contributions to the search of gravitational waves. The film will be introduced by Nobel Laureate Barry Barish, who is writing a biography of Amaldi with film screen writer and physics historian Adele La Rana.

À l’occasion du 30ème anniversaire de la mort d’Edoardo Amaldi, vous êtes invité à la projection publique du film The Decision - Edoardo Amaldi et Science sans frontières, le mercredi 11 décembre à 16 h 30 dans l'amphithéatre principal du CERN. Ce documentaire historique est la version anglaise du film italien La Scelta, de E. Agapito et Adele La Rana.
Le film raconte la vie et les œuvres de l’une des figures scientifiques les plus importantes du XXe siècle, de son engagement à la création du CERN et de l’ESA, à la reconstruction de la physique européenne ainsi que sa contribution à la recherche sur les ondes gravitationnelles. Le film sera présenté par le lauréat du prix Nobel Barry Barish, qui écrit une biographie d'Amaldi avec la scénariste et historienne de la physique Adele La Rana.
