I will give an overview of the results of arxiv:1912.13491, where we analyze non-supersymmetric AdS7 vacua constructed in massive IIA theory. I will show that they suffer from perturbative and non perturbative instabilities, and that no scale separation is possible between the AdS7 cosmological constant and the compactification scale. These results are in support of various formulations of the weak gravity conjecture.
