ALICE #no elog
- MTR
- Dummy chamber installed and welded + to add flowcell and pressure sensor
- Back-up modification done
Reminder:
-
- Alarm in power supply: DC MCB trip —> Michal/Patrick to check
- exhaust pressure regulation does not work
- CPV
- Probably water in pipes: fixed by flushing the pipes
- Humidifier to do the leak test + electrical
- TPC
Reminder
-
- In the purifier the small thermic box triggered (also last year it happened) —> Patrick/LPh to check
- TRD
Reminder
-
- Purifier: to review if keep the safety valve or the rupture disk
- Purifier: safety valve at the input where we have Ar or Ar/H2 at high pressure —> LPh to check with safety
- Alarm on power supply
ATLAS #2254
- MDT
- Re-started
- Leak found in rack 68 (VBO joint not fully screwed) where we added two channels coming from other racks
- Rack 68: problem in two flowcells of the new channels added (ch 21&22) —> Michal to check
- A lot of humidity in the chambers due to the long stop
- Now the humidity regulation is done with the return of the gas
- Found a problem of grounding on pressure sensors: pressure sensors changed. Now to verify if the grounding problem is still there
- RPC
- Rack 63 in run, regulation valve fully open
- Idea is to start one rack at the time for checking new leaks
- Problem with canbus in Rack 63
- Found leak in buffer
- Power supplies
- Changed CSC, TGC and to do Auxiliary
- TGC
- System chassis are ready
- To do the logo to PLC conversion (mixer + liquifier)
- To do the welding for the liquifier: start discussion this week
- General
Reminder
-
- Power of bande chauffant —> Patrick/Kacper
- Several electrical problem in ATLAS:
- See elog 2205, 2206, 2207
- Patrick to prepare a protocol for the student to identify the failures
CMS #2245
- RPC
- Disconnection of some leaking chambers
- Total leak rate ~530 l/h
- Rack 79: leak on the bubbler and on the supply valve of the rack but access is difficult
- Problem with heating pipes and relays (see elog 2235)
- Reminder:
- Test on rack 67: flow measured 40-50 l/h instead of 4-5 l/h (read by the flowcells)
- To buy a voegtlin red for the test of flow tests
- At this point the problem is electrical —> Michal to investigate
- Missing quick manifold and flowcell in barrel +1 and +2
- Swap of pipes in rack RE-1 (racks 61 and 65) and RPC 3.1 (racks 63 and 87)
- Rack 85: to check if dummy chamber is installed, if yes to add pressure sensor connection
- DT
Reminder:
-
- Difficult to re-start the gas system after power-cut —> to do some tests
- Test for power cut and re-start for the exhaust line —> to do other tests
- CSC
Reminder:
-
- Warning to set-up —> Beatrice/Michal/Roberto
- GEM
- System stopped because the pressure of the membrane increased (0.4 bar)
- When Andrea disconnected and connected the plastic pipes, the pressure went to zero: why?
- Missing capillary in the pump module for the membrane
- To finish DSS signal (0.5 day electrical work)
- Missing some flexible pipes in GE2.1+
LHCb #2253
- RICH1
- again stop, so purge
- to check if we take air —> Mara
- RICH2
- still two weeks in CO2 to test the membrane
- then inject Air —> Patrick to check with C. Frei
- to add line for analysis “supply to detector”
- MWPC
- Leaks in Purifier, Mixer and Exhaust. Only in Exhaust found but not repaired. Other not yet founded
- Problems with pressure sensors: replaced
- Default in the optical fibres
- It stays more than one week without back-up because back-up was left closed after the dismounting of the MWPC/GEM distribution racks
- CF4 Recovery
- To use battery A to finish and then exchange it with new battery (the one with single bottles)
Reminder:
-
- Interlock of Ar/H2 does not work —> Michal/Patrick to check
- Problem with Profibus cable/connector module —> to understand where —> Patrick
PIQUET
GENERAL
- MFC calibration
- Output pressure is not chosen during the calibration
- Sometimes flow is not the same of default of MFC but it has been changed with previous calibration: for the new calibration we keep the flow we see in WinCC-OA that is the same of the old calibration
- As general rule, do not change the input pressure of the device. In case you want to change, we need to check if it worth to do
- Exhaust
- To think to put safety valves in Exhaust
- Now we have 5um: to check if to put the 1um
- Capillary pipe for the pressure sensor of the pump membrane: to do everywhere
