The main video-conferencing tool in use at CERN is Vidyo. You can join the Vidyo videoconference system in three ways:

- using only your web browser and connecting using the 'webrtc' client (which is the recommended way) - for more information see the how-to join via webrtc-client or its cache.

- using the dedicated Vidyo application for your desktop/laptop system running Windows or MacOS. For this please see instructions at Vidyo service.

- on a phone / tablet via the dedicated VidyoConnect client app for iOS (iPad and iPhone) on the Apple app store and for Android (versions 2.2 and above) on the Google Play Store.

When configuring the client as in the Desktop client, use as ‘Portal’ value, and, if you have, your CERN credentials.  ( The link should suffice otherwise. )

Note: if you are using Linux, you must use the browser-based 'webrtc' client - as the deprecated Linux client will cause audio problems for everyone connected.

If you want to make a first check before connecting to this meeting, you can use an automated test session.

Backup tool: Zoom meeting

As the load of video-conferencing is sharply increased these last days, during the afternoon 14:00-17:30 CET the system may be overloaded.

For this reason we will also trial the alternative tool "Zoom Meeting".  Please connect to the following  to help us test this:

15:30 - 16:00 Meeting ID: 160 265 483
