There are plenty of walks in Kandersteg, the Hotel pointed out these two in particular:
To the lake Oeschinensee: there is a cable-car to get to the top (return 30 CHF)
and then have a walk up there, it looks fantastic !

There the possibility the rent an electric bike from the Hotel, 20 CHF for the half a day, for the participants of the Conference that are not requested to be at the Board, it's important to BOOK it very soon !

if there are some of you that are interested, we could arrange a transport there (taxi) and then there is the possibility to have a walk there of an hour-ish, it seems a very nice place and it's highly recommended by the Hotel staff :)
