Travel Information

Several international train stations located downtown and three international airports (Charles de Gaulle, Orly, and Beauvais) in the surrounding suburbs will allow the participants to easily reach Paris from any place in the world.

Subway

the Pierre et Marie Curie campus is served by two subway lines (Station Jussieu, lines 7 et 10) and various bus lines. It is also close to stations of RER regional trains of various lines (A-D).

From Paris main airports

While arriving in Paris by plane from Charles de Gaulle or Orly airports, the conference location can be reached with the RER B line and then transferring to the subway line 10 at the Saint-Michel station.

From train station Paris Gare de Lyon

A direct bus (line 63, Jussieu stop) or subway allows to reach the site in 10 minutes.

From train station Paris Gare de l'Est or Gare du Nord

Trains from north-eastern Europe and from London arrive in these stations. From Gare du Nord, go to Gare de l'Est with Metro line 5. From Gare de l'Est, one can take Metro line 7 and stop at Jussieu.

A ticket from the CDG or ORY airport to Paris center costs up to 10.30 euros, while from Paris-Beauvais airport it costs 17 euros (https://www.ratp.fr/en/titres-et-tarifs/airport-tickets).

Inside Paris, single-unit "t+" tickets cost 1.90 euros and can be used for travelling using the metro, the RER in zone 1, the Ile-de-France region's bus lines (except Orlybus and Roissybus), the tramways, and the Montmartre funicular. They can also be bought in carnets of 10 tickets for 14.90 euros (see https://www.ratp.fr/en/titres-et-tarifs/t-tickets for more details).

A one week unlimited pass ("navigo découverte") valid anywhere in the Paris region (zones 1-5) costs 27.80 euros (including 5 euros non-refundable for the card itself). Bring a passport size photo that can be used for the card to avoid extra fees.

A bike sharing system (velib) is also available in Paris (https://www.velib-metropole.fr/en/service). 
A 7-day pass ("V-Sejour") costs 15 euros and the first 30’ of each trip are free with non-electrical bikes (for electrical bikes the cost for the first 30’ is 1 euro).
