I want to review how hard diffraction with diffractive parton densities is included in MCs at HERA and how the final states are described. It will also include pQCD models of the diffractive exchange. One issue is, how the final state is build and how the diffractive part is merged to the inclusive cross section. Then also some ideas will be discussed, how this can be used for simulation of hard diffraction at the LHC.

I want to discuss, which measurements are planned for the near future and what is needed in terms of MCs. An important point will be what is needed to estimate the model uncertainties: issues of the parton showers, hadronization etc.
