Two different branches of theoretical physics, string theory and quantum information theory, share many of the same features, allowing knowledge of one side to provide new insights on the other. Here we describe some recent developments, in particular the matching of the classification of black holes and the classification of qubit entanglement (pioneered here at CERN by John Bell) and also the notion of superqubits.
