COVID-19 statement

The spread of the COVID-19 has changed our everyday lives. At present, given the global roll-out of vaccinations, and given the fact that the school takes place during the warmer summer time, we expect it to take place in person as planned. All participants will be required to have a negative PCR test dating less than 72 hours upon their arrival at Les Houches. Physical distancing measures will be enforced in the lecture room, the restaurant and the common rooms. The number of participants will also be reduced.

However, the situation remains unpredictable, with many travel restrictions still in place and evolving. We invite everybody interested in participating in person to apply, even if, as of today, they are subject to travel restrictions. We will actively monitor the evolution of the COVID-19 emergency and, in the case in which some admitted participants will not be able to travel due to the prolongation of the emergency, we will reimburse the fee and we may consider remote attendance to the school (through an interactive platform such as Zoom, G-meet, or Teams), plus other appropriate measures.

More information for travelers to France, updated in real time, may be found on the following government webpage.
