* There are a handful of standard tests (with standard analysis and processing) such as rotating coils, stretched wire etc. 
* in SM18: current synchronization with measurement done by precise timestamp (from CERN network or from GPS)
* trying to implement online analysis where possible. It is helpful to diagnose problems
* Often, some online analysis is required to continue with the tests (example: stretched wire, to find the center and measure field in the center)
* Matlab for offline processing, moving from Matlab towards compiled Matlab/C++ for online analysis for faster processing
* Automatic report: not very advanced yet, but planned to design and implement
