Prototyping for Humanitarian Innovation
In THE Port hackathon events interdisciplinary teams of handpicked volunteers offer their time and skills to prototype innovative solutions for humanitarian problems through science, technology and endless creativity.
THE Port's mission is to connect engineers and innovators from CERN and other institutions worldwide to work on humanitarian challenges that can be solved or improved with technology. THE Port collaborates with various NGOs and international organizations, such as the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Terre des hommes or the Emergency Telecommunication Cluster. These organizations are the link to know first-hand about the currently arising humanitarian challenges.

Dans le cadre des événements "THE Port hackathon", des équipes interdisciplinaires de bénévoles triés sur le volet offrent leur temps et leurs compétences pour mettre au point des solutions innovantes aux problèmes humanitaires grâce à la science, la technologie et une créativité sans limite.
La mission du "THE Port" est de mettre en relation des ingénieurs et des innovateurs du CERN et d'autres institutions du monde entier pour travailler sur des défis humanitaires qui peuvent être résolus ou améliorés grâce à la technologie. "THE Port" collabore avec diverses ONG et organisations internationales, telles que le Comité international de la Croix-Rouge (CICR), Terre des hommes ou "Emergency Telecommunications Cluster" (ETC) . Ces organisations sont le lien qui permet de connaître de première main les défis humanitaires qui se posent actuellement.
