DESCRIPTION:Lattice QCD calculations for many quantities have now reacheds
ub-percent precision so that isospin-breaking corrections\, includingQED e
ffects\, must be included to fully exploit this precision indetermining th
ese quantities. Here\, we present a theoreticalframework\, based on the in
finite-volume reconstruction (IVR)\, forcalculating electromagnetic correc
tions to finite-volume lattice QCDcalculations. In this method\, the hadro
nic correlation functions arefirst processed theoretically in infinite vol
ume\, in such a way thatthe required matrix elements can be determined non
-perturbatively fromlattice QCD calculations with finite-volume uncertaint
