Travel Information

The closet airport to Duke University is Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU). Directions to Duke Physics from RDU, as well as the address and phone number of the Duke Physics department, can be found here. The conference will be held at the French Family Science Center, which is on Science Drive next to the Duke Physics building (see Map below).

Millenium Hotel

This hotel is near campus and has a shuttle service to take you to the site of the workshop. We have negotiated a block room rate of $99 per night plus $5 additional per night for the shuttle service, available through 2/20/13.  Please make your reservation yourself and tell them you are attending the "Duke Physics Workshop" to obtain the block rate. Brookwood Inn

This hotel is located near Duke's campus and has a shuttle service to take you to the site of the workshop. For more information click on the link above to go the hotel website. Please let them know you are attending a Duke workshop to get the best possible rate.

Washington Duke Inn

Parking

If you are driving to the conference you can park in Duke Parking Garage IV which is across the street from the Family French Science Center. The cost is $2/hour up to a maximum of $12/day.
