Are there nuclear structure experiments relevant for neutron stars physics

Neutron stars can be considered as a nucleonic system at various densities. Nuclear physics predictions are required to describe its structure: the equation of state, the behavior of neutron rich systems, superfluidity ... Are there specific nuclear structure experiments which could help in describing those stars ?
