The University of Melbourne and the City are about a 30-minute taxi ride from Melbourne’s Tullamarine airport, with access alternatively provided by the Skybus service from Southern Cross Station in the City. Melbourne airport has direct flights from Los Angeles, and many Asian and Middle Eastern cities. Travellers from Europe will require a transfer stop in either an Asian or Middle Eastern hub. The Melbourne Airport website contains more information and useful links.

The University of Melbourne main campus is located about 1 km north of the Central Business District (CBD), an easy walking distance away. There is also a major tram stop located on Swanston St outside the Sidney Myer Asia Centre that provides a frequent and rapid public transportation option to the City, with trams running every 2-3 minutes.

Travellers intending to hire a car should note that electronic tollways operate on several major roads in Melbourne, including between Tullamarine airport and the City. Consult your car hire company for information about buying a pass, or visit the Citylink website.

Attendees will be provided with a Myki visitor pack including a Myki card (the travel card used on public transport in Melbourne) and one days worth of travel. This is included in the registration fee. More information about the visitor pack can be found on the Public Transport Victoria website
