Threshold resummation has been, and remains to be, very successful in improving the theoretical accuracy of observables such as the total cross section or the invariant-mass distribution. State-of-the art predictions reach next-to-next-to-next-to-leading logarithmic (NNNLL) accuracy for colour-singlet processes, and NNLL for processes with four coloured partons at Born level. In this talk I will show recent progress on extending the framework of threshold resummation to a process with a complicated colour structure: the production of four top quarks, which has six coloured partons at Born level. Secondly, I will talk about recent developments of next-to-leading power resummation.
