The Upgrade II of the LHCb experiment is proposed for the long shutdown 4 of the LHC. The upgraded detector will operate at a maximum luminosity of 1.5×1034 cm-2 s-1, with the aim of reaching a total integrated luminosity of ∼300 fb-1 over the lifetime of the HL-LHC. The collected data will allow the full exploitation of the flavour physics capabilities of the HL-LHC, probing a wide range of physics observables with unprecedented accuracy.
Following the approval of a framework TDR in 2022, discussion will be finalised during this workshop on detector scenarios, their physics performance and cost. These scenarios will be submitted to CERN and funding agencies in September 2024. New groups and institutes willing to join this exciting project are very welcome to attend.
The meeting will be held at CERN, will start at 14:00 on Monday 25 March 2024 and will finish at 16:00 on Wednesday 27 March 2024. Registration will close on March 20th. No fee is due.
