TCC8/ECN3 Fire Detection systems LS3 - pre BDF
- Smoke detection and evacuation system
- Current smoke detection and evacuation system for ECN3/TCC8/TDC85 has been upgraded with 6 new detectors located in b911 (works were finalized on 11/09). With this upgrade, the system is compatible with the pre-BDF phase
- Upgrade has currently been paid by EN-AA, but project budget to be clarified (NA-CONS or HI-ECN3)
- Action/Denis: send cost information for upgrade
- Action/Rachid: send slides of what has been originally foreseen for the NA-CONS scope incl. costs
- Current air sampling network is made of PVC and will be changed during the TCC8/ECN3 dismantling phase in LS3. Post-meeting addition from Melania: we, PMT and EN-AA, need to establish a removal strategy and planning. During LS3 we need to have the system in operation, if we remove the pipework we won’t have fire detection coverage anymore.
- Control racks:
- New control racks were already bought by NA-CONS and were supposed to be installed on a platform in b911
- DIC for control racks should be on hold as definition of requirements only comes with FIRIA in TDR phase. Current potential location is in an electrical room that is a fire compartment in the new service building
- In NA-CONS, for the control racks in BA81 a fire protected volume is foreseen based on HSE recommendation
- Action/Melania: to check w/ Filippa and Oriol for the exact requirements
- Exact changes of the future fire safety system depend on FIRIA study outcome conducted in the TDR phase. Action/EN-AA: clarify potential modification of contractor’s timeline due to delay of ECN3 works
