Conceptual Review of the SPL Short Cryomodule

Goals:

  • Present cryomodule user’s needs and design requirements
  • Review dressed cavity assembly (the “cold mass” to be integrated)
  • Review cryostat main concepts:
    • General layout and integration
    • Cavity supporting system
    • Vacuum vessel and cryostat assembly concepts
    • Magnetic shielding
    • Thermal shielding
    • Cryogenic scheme, control and diagnostic devices (valves, instrumentation)
