Description
This talk will give an overview of the latest measurements of semileptonic
and rare radiative decays of B-mesons at the B-Factories and discuss their
relevance for New Physics searches. As radiative B-meson decays proceed
through loop diagrams they are sensitive to contributions from particles
outside the Standard Model. Semileptonic B-meson decays provide an
excellent probe for the weak and strong interactions of the b quark and
allow a precision determination of the magnitudes of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-
Maskawa (CKM) matrix elements |V_cb| and |V_ub|. These provide an
important test of the Standard Model mechanism for CP violation and the
unitarity of the CKM matrix, in particular through the comparison with
sin(2beta).
