Description
a) Klaus Werner on "Multiple scattering and hydrodynamic evolution in pp@LHC" Abstract: We discuss the importance (and correct treatment) of multiple scattering in pp scattering at LHC energies and the consequences: very high energy densities in events with large numbers of elementary scatterings. The corresponding calculations serve as basis for 3D hydrodynamic calculations. We discuss first results concerning space-time evolution, in particular the development of collective flow, and consequences for observables. b) Carlos Pajares on "Effects of strong color fields in pp high multiplicity events" Abstract: The high multiplicity events produced in pp collisions at LHC energies are due to a high number of collisions between the partons of both protons originating strong color fields which give rise to similar effects to those already observed at RHIC energies in AA collisons, namely:moderate and high pt suppression, elliptic flow, sizable long range correlations and ridge structure.
