Description

At CERN unique technology is used and the Higgs boson would not have been discovered without technologies based on a fundamental physics phenomenon seen for the first time ever in the Netherlands more than one hundred years ago: superconductivity. Cavities, accelerator magnets and detector magnets integrated in the LHC and its experiments all rely on superconductivity!
