This is the Kickoff event of the experiment “Reproducing very high intensity impacts of particle beams by laser pulses”, now officially referenced P219, which follows the recent approval by GSI Scientific Director of the experiment at PHELIX , and the granting of 10 shifts in 2021-22. The main goals of the meeting are a first discussion and agreement on the timeline, the objectives, the contributions, the infrastructure and the equipment for this experiment. At a recent Progress Meeting of the ARIES Work-package 17, of which this experiment is also part, it was agreed that October 2021 is a viable period for the experiment.
